But if I could only purchase one, I'd go with the MAC paint pot just because it last longer and I can get primers samples/freebies with purchase of other brands to try out that lasts awhile.Nudes and naturals are for everyone but my favorite are those with satin finish. A highly pigmented eye colour that goes on creamy but dries to an intense, vibrant finish. MAC paint pot is used as a cream base and to even out my eyelid color (redness and vein).
UDPP is used as a primer to keep all of the eyeshadows lasting longer and bringing out the vividness/metallic/shimmer of eyeshadows. They both have different functions on my eyes. Overall, comparing both products, it is not the same to me. I usually get my Urban Decay tube at Nordstrom Rack because they sell them for $9 instead of $20. My MAC and Urban decay eyeshadows last pretty decent though. I have problems with my Lorac shadows disappearing after half an hour. I have to use both on my eyelids if I want my eyeshadows to last over four hours though. Makeup department head Michelle Radow listed it as a must-have primer for shooting, and 800 reviewers who have.

However for my loose pigments, the primer works better for bringing out the duochrome and sparkles. The MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot is an essential when shooting HBO hit Big Little Lies. For $20, it is worth it to me because it makes my lighter pressed eyeshadows pop. I just recently scooped some out for my sister in a small sample jar for her and I still have tons of product left. The MAC paint pot is more of a cream shadow base to me and it does last a very long time. I have both and use both of them actually.
(Please keep in mind I have oily/veiny eyelids that need covering with a skin-toned colour, though, so if you have dry lids that probably won't help me.) If anyone could post a mini review of each product and say which they prefer that would really help me out. I also read that pp is very liquidly/slick itself and that it's not good for oily lids. I read that primer potion can dry up after a few months? Can anyone confirm this? I don't want to buy something just for it to dry up. Something I really liked the paint pot since is that it lasted me literally 2-3 years, can't remember exactly when I bought it but definitely around that long ago. One thing to know is that I have oily and veiny lids, so I would need to use a skin-coloured one in both brands to cover up my blue veiny eyelids. I've only used Mac paint pot in painterly before, and i'm about to run out so i'm looking at repurchasing or getting primer potion since it's cheaper than the paint pot per oz. Gah, I should have made this yesterday on text tuesday! Oh well.Īnyway, I need help picking an eye primer.
